We are also building a Smart Grid, which will modernize our electric system in ways that the U.S. Department of Energy says are increasingly important for the future. The Smart Grid will not only help us make your electric power more reliable than ever, it will also open up opportunities for customers to monitor their daily energy use - control thermostats and other electric appliances remotely, and track their usage online in real time.
