CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Last night, Soddy Daisy approved a franchise with EPB for Fi TV service. Last year, similar agreements were signed with the cities of Chattanooga, Red Bank, East Ridge, Ridgeside, and Rossville, GA. A franchise has also been signed with Hamilton County.
“We are excited to move forward towards providing 100% Fiber Optic services to homes in the Soddy Daisy area and the franchise approval last night was an important step,” said Katie Espeseth, Vice President of EPB Fiber Optics. “At this time, there are a handful of communities where we have yet to secure a franchise. We will continue working hard with the leaders in those areas to ensure that every home in our service area will have access to next generation communications services, just as soon as we can get them there.”
EPB launched EPB Fiber Optics last September and currently has services available to homes in portions of the cities of Chattanooga, Red Bank, and East Ridge. They plan to have services available to all homes within these three city limits by July 2010.
