CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – To honor the start of the holiday season, tonight
EPB unveiled their holiday windows. EPB continued their annual
tradition by raising the curtains on the windows at EPB’s downtown
building, 10 W. Martin Luther King Blvd.
EPB filled the windows on the first floor of their offices with scenes
taken out of the community. Both a downtown marketplace and a
residential neighborhood are given a complete holiday makeover. EPB
also took energy efficiency into consideration again this year, making
a point to use highly energy efficient LED lights whenever possible.
“We look forward to giving back to the community every holiday season.
Just one of the ways we do that is through our window tradition, a
tradition that’s all about joy and wonderment for children and,
frankly, for adults too!” said Pamper Garner Crangle, EPB’s Vice
President of Culture, Development & Employee Services. “It was an
enormous effort by our employees, on top of their everyday work
responsibilities, but an effort that was worth it. These windows are
really something you need to see to believe!”
Each year EPB employees volunteer their time to design, construct and
light up the windows of their downtown offices. This year, a group of
75 employee volunteers worked for 6 weeks and a total of approximately
1600 hours to create the windows in time for this grand unveiling.
EPB’s holiday windows will remain on display until the first part of January.
