EPB Signs Video Service Agreement with the City of Rossville

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Last night, Rossville City Council approved the signing of a franchise agreement with EPB for Fi TV service. Earlier this year, similar franchise agreements were signed with the cities of Chattanooga, Red Bank, and East Ridge, as well as the Ridgeside community.

“We are moving forward by working with all the different communities in our customer service area,” said Greg Eaves, EPB’s Sr. Vice President of Finance and CFO. “This ensures that every customer in our customer service area has access to next generation communications services, just as soon as we can get them there.”

EPB has stated that they chose to negotiate franchise agreements with each individual community within their 600 square mile customer service area to have a better understanding of individual community needs, the interests of their customers, and to promote economic development.

EPB is currently testing their EPB Fiber Optics services in volunteer customer homes. They plan to have services available to all customers within the city limits of Chattanooga, East Ridge, and Red Bank by July, 2010.
